*** Do You Want to become the Best Employee In Your Company? ***
Studies show that employers recruit, screen for, and reward a specific list of qualities in current staff and new hires…
…qualities such as honesty, integrity, confidence, teamwork, interpersonal skills, motivation, initiative, energy, strong work ethic, flexibility, adaptability, leadership potential, a “can do” attitude, commitment to the job, ability to make decisions, flexibility, courtesy, trustworthiness, willingness to learn, reliability, and a desire to grow in the job.**
My First Important Job! illustrates the importance of these qualities and teaches them to you in simple easy-to-relate-to terms.
My First Important Job! can help you be successful at work. It gives you insight into the 45 most sought after traits called “Quick-Tips” that are necessary for survival of the fittest. It is simply the best guide ever produced to explain what employers want and reward, and will help you become the perfect “fit” at your company or organization.
“…using this information now is going be worth more money to me in the future” – metal fabricator
** Be Sure To Avoid These Career-Killing Mistakes On the Job **
If you want to be successful on the job, don’t make these common mistakes at work…
… procrastinating; taking personal phone calls; being disliked by peers, bosses, vendors, or customers; using bad people skills; gossiping; being late for work; surfing the internet; isolating yourself; having an office romance; not contributing – staying under the radar; not having goals or aspirations; not caring what other people think about you; not being a team player; going home early…and so on...*
Why? Because workers with these bad habits stagnate in their career and are at higher risk of losing their jobs. They become targets of bosses and co-workers who are frustrated with these wasteful behaviors that cause productivity and morale to suffer.

My personal experience tells the whole story…
As a business development consultant for more than fifteen years, I instruct clients on how to screen job applicants and recognize desirable qualities in new recruits. We look for candidates with an inherent understanding of how to be valuable by meeting their obligations to their company and co-workers; cooperating with management; knowing how to communicate; and having the ability to serve both internal and external customers. Hiring people with these attributes offers the most likely chance for a good, long-term fit for both the company and the employee. Unfortunately, too few job applicants meet the above criteria.
Even as a parent, I have been teaching the concepts from My First Important Job! to my own children. It has helped them understand responsibility and accountability. As young babysitters, they had a reputation of being trustworthy, positive, punctual, and reliable. At fifteen, each got her first outside job, holding on to it for almost three years. My children have always been favorites of their employers because of their work ethic and high degree of responsibility. Their well-developed workplace skills have also helped them in high school and college to navigate the more challenging academic situations they encountered.
My First Important Job! demonstrates the qualities that every employer wants, and every person needs. It is an indispensible resource that helps you realize and understand the importance of effective communication, punctuality, making and maintaining a good reputation, professional performance, self-confidence, honesty, integrity, perseverance, customer satisfaction, client loyalty, and so on.
